Rapid technological development and the increasing integration of AI into various spheres of societal life, including legal practice, have raised complex questions about the legal status of AI, the extent of its legal capacity, and the mechanisms for exercising rights and obligations through automated systems. The study analyzes contemporary doctrinal approaches to AI classification, highlighting distinctions between weak, strong, and superintelligent AI, as well as the differentiation between AI and related concepts such as robots, electronic persons, and digital agents. The article emphasizes the conceptual separation of form and content, arguing that while robots act as technical devices performing programmed functions, AI provides intellectual capabilities enabling autonomous decision-making, analysis, and task execution.Проаналізовано правову природу штучного інтелекту (далі - ШІ) в системі об’єктів цивільних правовідносин.
