Traditionally, psychotherapy plays a key role in rehabilitation, and numerous studies have confirmed its effectiveness. At the same time, psychological counselling as a component of psychological rehabilitation has not been sufficiently researched. Based on a comprehensive scientific analysis, it has been established that psychological counselling is the earliest link in psychological intervention and accompanies the rehabilitation process at all its stages. It performs informational and motivational functions and is applied not only directly to the patient but also to members of their family and medical staff.На основі аналізу сучасних наукових джерел у статті розглянуто місце та роль психологічного консультування в реабілітаційному процесі. Традиційно ключову роль у реабілітації відіграє психотерапія, ефективність якої підтверджена численними дослідженнями. Водночас психологічне консультування як складова психологічної реабілітації досліджене недостатньо. На підставі всебічного наукового аналізу встановлено, що психологічне консультування є найпершою ланкою психологічної інтервенції та супроводжує реабілітаційний процес на всіх його етапах.
