Digital transformation of higher education institutions in the context of modern challenges and risks

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze the conceptual and managerial foundations of the digital transformation of higher education institutions in the context of modern challenges and risks. The focus is on identifying key strategic areas, institutional components, and models of digital maturity that form the transition to a digital university model. The methodological basis of the research is a qualitative approach that allows us to study the processes of implementing data-driven management, modernizing digital infrastructure, transforming services, and improving the digital competencies of all participants in the educational process. It is determined that the efficiency of digital transformation depends on the combination of a project approach with systematic models for assessing digital maturity, which ensures the coherence of changes and the sustainability of institutional development. The results of the research allow outlining methodological guidelines for the formation of an adaptive, innovative, and academically open model of a digital university.
