dc.descriptionThe article discusses the personalistic concept of the personality of O. Kulchitsky. The emphasis is on the geographical factor of the formation of the mentality of Ukrainians. In particular, the main influence on a person was carried out by the Ukrainian steppe and brought it closer to such a state as intoxication, daydreaming, slowness, love, etc. At the same time, there was a formation in the psyche and a radical denial of any value and desirability. The internal perception of the processes of nature, inherent in the steppe environment, inclines to the impermanence and contrast of sensual life. The influence of the mountain landscape and the sea on the human psyche was negligible among geographical factors. It was clarified that the internal perception of the nature of black soil for the farming community was important for humans – the fertility of the land, its meekness, generosity and kindness. Thiscondition corresponds to religious feelings of trust and gratitude. Forest-steppe evokes an intuitive attitude – experiencing a happy feeling of boundlessness, devotion. The forest is perceived by man as a constant fierce struggle for existence without a clear end in the final victory, prompting adaptation.
dc.description.abstractУ статті розглядається персоналістична концепція особистості О. Кульчицького. Акцент зроблено на географічному чиннику становлення ментальності українців. Зокрема, основний вплив на людину здійснював український степ і наближав її до такого стану, як сп’янілість, мрійливість, неквапливість, кохання та ін. Водночас спостерігалося формування в психіці й радикального заперечення будь-якої цінності та бажаності. Внутрішнє сприйняття процесів природи, властиві степовому середовищу, схиляє до непостійності й контрасту чуттєвого життя. Вплив гірського ландшафту та моря на психіку людини був незначним серед географічних чинників. Уточнено, що важливим для людини було внутрішнє сприйняття природи чорнозему для хліборобської спільноти – плодючість землі, її лагідність, щедрість і доброта. Цей стан відповідає релігійним почуттям довіри й вдячності. Лісостеп викликає інтуїтивну настанову – переживання щасливого почуття безмежності, відданості. Ліс сприймається людиною як постійна жорстока боротьба за існування без виразного завершення в остаточній перемозі, що спонукає до пристосування.
