dc.descriptionThe article presents a comprehensive theoretical and methodological study of the essence and content of financial stability as a key category of modern economic science and a determining factor of the financial security of the state. It substantiates the interconnection between the concepts of financial stability, financial security, and economic security, and reveals their structural and functional interdependence in the national economy system. It has been determined that financial stability is not a static state, but reflects a continuum of balanced states of the financial system capable of effectively performing the functions of financial intermediation, resource redistribution, payment execution, and crisis resistance. The paper summarizes contemporary scientific approaches to the interpretation of financial stability and adapts them to Ukrainian realities in the context of ongoing wartime challenges. Particular attention is paid to analyzing current challenges and threats to Ukraine’s financial security, including the slowdown in global trade recovery, structural distortions in the real sector, a shortage of domestic investment resources, energy and logistics dependence, inflationary pressure, declining confidence in the national currency, and increased financial vulnerability of households. It has been established that in wartime conditions, the activities of the National Bank of Ukraine aimed at maintaining macrofinancial stability, controlling inflation, supporting the banking sector, and strengthening the payment infrastructure are of particular importance. A set of real measures taken by the NBU has been revealed, including tight monetary policy, macroprudential regulation, currency interventions, stress testing, refinancing instruments, and cybersecurity measures in the financial sector. It has been emphasized that due to these decisions, Ukraine’s financial system demonstrates high stability, maintaining functionality even in the context of wartime uncertainty. It has been concluded that financial stability is not only an indicator of the effectiveness of financial policy, but also the systemic foundation of national financial security, on which the state’s ability to ensure socio-economic stability, competitiveness, and recovery in the face of global crises and internal risks depends.
dc.description.abstractУ статті досліджено сутність фінансової стабільності як ключової категорії економічної науки та базового чинника фінансової безпеки держави. Обґрунтовано взаємозв’язок фінансової стабільності, фінансової безпеки й економічної безпеки та визначено їхню роль у забезпеченні стійкості національної економіки. Доведено, що фінансова стабільність є динамічним станом рівноваги фінансової системи, здатної ефективно виконувати свої функції та протидіяти кризовим явищам. Визначено сучасні виклики фінансовій безпеці України – інфляційні, боргові, валютні, енергетичні та соціально-економічні. Показано, що діяльність Національного банку України відіграє вирішальну роль у збереженні фінансової стійкості завдяки жорсткій монетарній політиці, макропруденційному регулюванню, валютним інтервенціям, стрес-тестуванню та кіберзахисту. Зроблено висновок, що фінансова стабільність є стратегічним ресурсом фінансової безпеки та запорукою відновлення економіки.
