dc.descriptionThe article examines the theoretical foundations of the economic nature of credit and its role in the functioning of the modern financial system. The relevance of the study is reinforced by the growing dependence of contemporary economies on credit mechanisms that support financial stability, stimulate investment activity, and enhance the resilience ofmacroeconomic structures in conditions of ongoing structural transformations. As global and national financial systems experience increasing complexity, a deeper theoretical understanding of credit becomes essential for explaining the logic of capital movement, the mechanisms of value redistribution, and the channels through which credit influences economic dynamics. The aim of the research is to specify the conceptual content of credit as a fundamental financial category and to develop a generalized theoretical framework for its functioning under modern economic conditions. The methodological basis of the study relies on methods of theoretical generalization, system-structural and comparative analysis, as well as logical-analytical interpretation. This combination of approaches made it possible to synthesize diverse theoretical perspectives, identify converging elements across existing interpretations, and formulate an integrated conceptual model of credit. The results of the study highlight the essential characteristics of credit as a form of loan capital movement and clarify its significance withinmechanisms of money issuance, capital reproduction, resource redistribution, and the maintenance of financial stability at both micro- and macroeconomic levels. A comprehensive system of functions performed by credit has been developed, including issuance, reproduction, redistribution, turnover, and stabilization functions. Additionally, the study substantiates the emergence of a new function associated with risk diversification and the balancing of financial flows, which reflects current trends in the evolution of financial markets and institutional design. The practical contribution of the research lies in its applicability for improving analytical methodologies in credit studies, enhancing the conceptual apparatus of financial theory, and supporting the development of effective regulatory instruments aimed at strengthening financial sustainability and optimizing credit interactions within the national economy.
dc.description.abstractУ статті розкрито теоретичні засади економічної природи кредиту та роль цієї категорії у функціонуванні сучасної фінансової системи. Актуальність теми зумовлена зростанням значення кредитних механізмів у забезпеченні фінансової стійкості, розвитку інвестиційних процесів і підтриманні макроекономічної рівноваги в умовах активних структурних трансформацій. У ході дослідження виокремлено ключові характеристики кредиту як форми руху позикового капіталу, уточнено його роль у механізмах грошової емісії, відтворенні капіталу, перерозподілі ресурсів і забезпеченні фінансової стійкості економічних суб’єктів. Сформовано розгорнуту систему функцій кредиту, що включає емісійні, відтворювальні, перерозподільні, оборотні та стабілізаційні аспекти, а також обґрунтовано появу нової функції, пов’язаної з диверсифікацією ризиків і підтриманням фінансової рівноваги.
